What attracted me:
My husband was taking a little lunch break in the campground area at Hartman Creek State Park. I decided to walk around and see if there was an interesting shot. I was attracted to the red understory and the side lighting causing interesting shadows. I saw this beginning tree that seems to bring me into the picture so I thought I would include it rather than change my position.

Photographic Considerations:
I set this up as an HDR shot because I wanted to make sure that I got the full range of highlights and shadows. I used a tripod and a wide angle lens. The HDR was processed in Photomatix. There was no additional cropping or editing.
