What attracted me:
I had actually put my camera inside my backpack, but was walking along the bank of Allen Lake (at Hartman Creek) and saw this reflection in the water. I liked the combination of spring green, black branches, and a little hint of the white birch.

I grabbed my P&S and took several photos; some taking the land and water into consideration; others just capturing the reflection. Lesson learned is always have a camera easily at hand.....

Photographic Considerations:
I was interested in capturing the entire range of the tones so I took this whole series as multiple exposures at +/- 1 stop, then I processed this in Nik's HDR efex Pro. The water or the photography moved slightly so there is an interesting blur occurring. I kind of liked it, so I cropped it a bit (there was some distracting light and dark spots at the edges).
