Situation:
Our cat was asleep in the recliner, quite close to the fireplace. She looked so warm and cuddly. I took this shot as a conventional shot, attracted by her white paws and other white markings. I was interested in taking a photo in kind of a natural state with a respectable depth of field and then one that focused in on just one part of her body.
